Michael Marks

Michael is an accomplished business leader who brings four decades of operational and strategic experience to Man Bites Dog’s advisory board in his role as Non-Executive Director. Having spent nearly 30 years at BlackRock and a decade at Legal & General, he is committed to fostering cultures of accountability and progressive governance.

Michael is passionate about Man Bites Dog’s mission to deliver sustainable growth for intelligent brands. He joins the Advisory Board to work with our Senior Leadership Team - ensuring we remain agile, relevant, and primed for our next phase of growth in a rapidly evolving business landscape. Michael’s experience is strongly aligned with Man Bites Dog’s leadership in supporting global clients in sectors including financial and professional services, technology and built environment, energy and infrastructure.

Throughout his career, Michael has led high-impact initiatives in ESG integration, diversity and inclusion. As COO and Head of Corporate Strategy at L&G Investment Management, he directed investment operations, technology and data strategy, and oversaw large-scale transformation. Subsequently, he established a firm-wide responsible investment strategy and led global ESG initiatives as the company’s Global Head of Investment Stewardship & Responsible Investment. At BlackRock, Michael held a series of senior roles, including Head of EMEA Client Solutions, COO of Fiduciary Mandates and Global Head of Transition Management.

Michael holds a BSc (Hons) in Management Science from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology.
