Alison Sharpe

Divisional Director

Ally loves inspiring people to think differently and is driven by a belief in the power of stories, well told, to teach, inspire and mobilise others.

Ally is a seasoned and values-driven professional with over twenty-five years’ experience in communications, thought leadership and strategic marketing. She is responsible for the company’s professional services practice and specialises in building strategic positioning platforms to build reputation and drive change. She has championed a range of client agendas on subjects from accelerating net zero and just transition through to supercharging e-mobility and redefining the purpose of the accountancy profession.

Prior to her role at Man Bites Dog, Ally was a Corporate Affairs Director at PwC, responsible for championing the firm’s trust agenda in the wake of the global financial crisis. This led to her involvement as a member of the Trust Advisory Group in The Business of Trust initiative, a City of London Corporation programme led by the then Lord Mayor of London.

In earlier years, Ally led PwC’s Media Relations and Thought Leadership teams and enjoyed a secondment to Demos, one of Britain’s leading cross-party think tanks. Before PwC, Ally held a European Communications role at Deloitte, prior to which she managed its UK press office. Ally began her career in Public Affairs at the RSPB, Europe’s largest wildlife conservation charity, and followed this with a period at Profile Public Relations, an issues-based communications consultancy.

Ally has a BA in business studies from the University of Northumbria, where she specialised in marketing. She has professional qualifications in research and marketing, is an RSA Fellow and a member of both the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
