Role Overview:

As Man Bites Dog’s Marketing Manager, you will be the driving force behind the consultancy’s marketing strategy, building our brand and reputation in the market and creating opportunities for us to speak to global B2B organisations about our thought leadership expertise. You will collaborate with Divisional Directors, Associate Directors, and our Business Development Manager, and work closely alongside our CEO, to increase our visibility and ensure our marketing drives high-quality leads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end marketing initiatives for Man Bites Dog, from brand development to demand generation.
  • Help and inspire the client team to support Man Bites Dog marketing efforts, nurturing their talents and driving results.
  • Develop and execute innovative content marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with sector outreach efforts and generating compelling thought leadership campaigns.
  • Champion content development and SEO strategies to fuel effective lead generation; crafting engaging articles and securing placements on external platforms.
  • Curate and optimise our social media presence, particularly on LinkedIn, to maximise lead generation.
  • Collaborate with the content team to create top-notch assets for business development activities, including credentials, case studies, and proposal content.
  • Spearhead our awards program, ensuring we showcase our best work with rich, compelling materials.
  • Drive the process of project wrap-up and case study development, ensuring we have standout assets to showcase our successes.
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, analyse the competitive landscape, and unearth potential opportunities.
  • Manage the marketing budget and oversee relationships with external suppliers, fostering seamless collaboration.
  • Introduce cutting-edge technology, processes, and data-driven insights to elevate our marketing efforts to new heights.

Experience

Essential:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, including B2B experience (agency experience preferred).
  • Demonstrated track record of success in developing and executing marketing strategies that drive lead generation and brand visibility.
  • In-depth understanding of content marketing principles and best practices, including content creation, distribution, and optimisation.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively, and an understanding of how to create sophisticated content for a senior B2B audience.
  • Experience developing thought leadership campaigns and creating high-quality written content for various platforms.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience leading and inspiring cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to effectively delegate tasks, provide constructive feedback, and foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing channels, particularly social media (especially LinkedIn), SEO, and email marketing.
  • Experience in leveraging digital tools and analytics to measure and optimise marketing performance.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to analyse market trends, identify opportunities, and develop actionable marketing strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt strategies based on changing market dynamics.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing marketing budgets and external suppliers/vendors.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Eagerness to stay updated on the latest marketing trends, technologies, and tools.
  • Ability to champion the adoption of new technologies, processes, and data-driven insights to enhance marketing efforts.
  • Genuine interest in sustainability, innovation, and emerging trends shaping the future of work and business.
  • Enthusiasm for working with clients who are at the forefront of driving positive change in their industries.

Desirable:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field. Qualifications in English, History, PPE and Economics also welcomed.
  • Experience in Man Bites Dog’s key sectors: sustainability, technology, professional services, financial services, infrastructure/engineering.
