Top PR consultancy Man Bites Dog has been shortlisted for Best PR Agency and Best PR Campaign at the B2B Marketing Awards 2009.
The annual awards give special recognition to excellence in the field of business-to-business marketing.
In addition to being recognised as one of the UK’s top B2B agencies, Man Bites Dog’s Fight or Flight? campaign for management consultancy, Hay Group, was also nominated.
Repositioning Hay Group’s services to ensure relevance during the downturn, Fight or Flight? gained a life of its own, making the consultancy one of the most widely quoted recession authorities.
The campaign delivered more than 120 pieces of coverage worth over £560,000 (86 times ROI on PR fees). Highlights included three waves of blanket broadsheet coverage (including four front pages), the Today Programme and a Panorama special.
Jennie Wright, Head of UK Marketing, Hay Group, said: “Fight or Flight? took a creative approach to recession, using research insights to create and cement our position as thought leaders on the downturn. Man Bites Dog ensured we remained ahead of the curve and punched above our weight as media commentators.”
Man Bites Dog’s Managing Director, Claire Mason said: “Being nominated for both Best PR Agency and Best Campaign is a real credit to the team’s hard work and great results. As the most award-winning B2B consultancy in the UK, we’re really pleased that our track record continues with these two prestigious nominations.”
Claire Mason was named one of the UK’s top young business women in Management Today magazine’s 35 Under 35, published in July 2009 and Man Bites Dog was recently recognised with a Silver Award in PR Week’s Best Places to Work 2009.
The winners of this year’s B2B Marketing Awards will be announced at a Gala Dinner in London’s Honourable Artillery Company in November.
