Alex is Man Bites Dog’s international trade and emerging markets specialist. For the past ten years, Alex has been supporting internationally-minded corporates to build their business overseas. He has particular interests in the infrastructure, professional services, financial services and development sectors. Alex has substantial public affairs experience having worked at the highest level with governments in the UK, Europe and internationally as they engaged with the global business community.
Prior to joining Man Bites Dog, Alex was Chief Operating Officer for Invest Africa. From 2012-2016 Alex was Director for Africa, Middle East and S.E. Asia at the leading international infrastructure and development organisation British Expertise International. He has also served as Projects and Government Relations Manager for the Middle East Association and worked on Middle Eastern trade issues at the Department for International Trade.
Alex is passionate about helping corporates and boards develop a truly global perspective, and the power of trade to drive global prosperity. He joined Man Bites Dog’s multi-disciplinary team to help shape the company’s deep trade and emerging markets expertise, leading the development of relevant global positioning and thought leadership campaigns for major global technology, professional and financial services brands.
Alex holds degrees from both Oxford and Cambridge universities and an additional postgraduate qualification in International Development from the University of London. In 2016 he was named Young Executive of the Year at the Association Awards.
