Man Bites Dog has won the prestigious title of Best PR Agency at the B2B Marketing Awards 2009.

The award recognises Man Bites Dog as the top business-to-business PR agency in the UK. The judges highlighted the agency’s success in helping clients grow profits during the worst recession on record.

B2B Marketing commented: “Man Bites Dog’s entrepreneurial approach has repeatedly seen it cross the line from traditional PR into new product development. It has generated some groundbreaking work for a number of big win B2B clients.

“One of its specialities has been to help clients profit during the economic downturn, by ensuring they are quotable experts in their field.”

The judges were also impressed by the consultancy’s “vibrant culture and commitment to staff well-being, training and development”.

Established by Managing Director Claire Mason in 2005, Man Bites Dog focuses on delivering PR campaigns for clients across three business sectors: professional & financial services, technology & digital media, and property & environment.

The agency brings clients’ expertise to life through compelling thought leadership and news generation content, turning expert knowledge into ‘man bites dog stories’, in the words of the journalist adage.

Claire Mason commented: “Winning B2B Marketing’s Best PR Agency award is a great reward for the team’s hard work and creative thinking which has delivered such strong media and financial results for our clients.

“Our business has continued to grow throughout the recession, so much so that we are currently on the lookout for new talent to join our successful, growing team.”

The B2B Marketing award comes on the back of major accolades including PR Week’s Best Place to Work 2009. Man Bites Dog also scooped a Gold CIPR PRide Award for the third successive year in the Corporate and Business Communications category. The winning thought leadership campaign, Credit Where it’s Due? identified a new stage in the credit crunch for restructuring consultancy, Roland Berger.

Man Bites Dog Account Manager David Mercer was also listed as one of PR Week’s “29 under 29” best communicators, with Managing Director Claire Mason being recognised as one of the UK’s “35 under 35” top business women, by Management Today magazine.
